 Mary Evelyn, MBA
Managing Director
Growing up Mary, watched her father, John Evelyn, build a successful career as a golf professional and entrepreneur on the simple premise that the way to win is to play the course – not the other golfers. As a passionate golfer Mary followed in his footsteps earning an undergraduate degree at York University and then graduating from the University of Toronto MBA Program in 1991 with an eye on going into the golf business herself. She took on full-time duties at the John Evelyn Golf Center (now Bushwood) in 1993 after her father. Stepping up to take the helm of the club, Mary quickly stabilized the business and injected it with a renewed sense of energy and appeal as an enjoyable facility for a fun round of golf. Her forward-thinking led Mary securing the trademark and patent to the name Bushwood Golf Club, which originated with the cult-classic movie Caddyshack, and rebranding the facility as the Bushwood Golf Club in 1995. Mary, a scratch golfer, brings the same passion and enthusiasm to all aspects of her life. She’s an active volunteer in the community, formerly serving as member of the Board of Directors for the National Golf Course Owners Association, Central Ontario Chapter from 1996-2005.

 Tom Aird
Business Manager
Tom is a Class A Life Member of the Canadian Professional Golfers Association.
He began his golf career as a caddy at Burlington Golf & Country Club where he progressed to the position of Associate Professional.
Since then he has held positions at Rosedale Golf Club, Brampton Golf Club and most recently ended 27 years at Maples of Ballantrae Golf Club where he held both the Director of Golf and General Manager positions.

 Kevin Coady
Pro Shop Manager
Kevin has been a part of the team at Bushwood since 2009. As our Pro Shop Manager, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse and golf staff. Having been in the customer service industry for over 20 years, most of it in a management capacity, Kevin mostly enjoys his interaction with the members, customers, and staff on a daily basis.

 Kyle Freer
Class "A" Teaching Professional
Kyle grew up playing and enjoying all types of sports, and at 13 years of age he found his true passion in golf. Working at a driving range from the age of 14, Kyle has spent the past 12 years in the golf industry, and completed the Business Administration Professional Golf Management Program at Humber College in 2007. Kyle became a member of the CPGA in 2006, and has just recently passed his Class "A" exam to advance his status from an Apprentice Professional to Class "A" Professional.
Starting at the Jasper Park Lodge in 2006, Kyle has followed his desire to become a successful young golf professional. For the past two years Kyle has been employed by the Golf Institute at Bond Head working as an apprentice under the tutelage Master Professional Bruce McCarrol.
Through Bruce, Kyle has gained an extensive knowledge base about the golf swing. Kyle is an enthusiastic and dedicated instructor, competent and comfortable with golfers of all ages, handicaps and skill levels.

Golf Course Superintendent
Mark is a graduate of the University of Guelph where he received an honours Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, majoring in Natural Resource Management. He is the certified IPM agent for the Club, (Integrated Pest Management) and uses his 20+ years experience to find the delicate balance between superior playing conditions and sound environmental stewardship.
Mark has a special interest in horticulture and arboriculture and is great at making sure the gardens and trees are in good health throughout the year. Please feel free to ask Mark for some tips on your lawn or gardens!
You will likely see Mark’s dog Zoey patrolling the fairways and doing her part to help improve the course too. Mark is in his fifth season at Bushwood and is very excited at the prospect of long dry and warm summer!

 Dina Pidone
Office Administrator/Accounting
Dina started at the club in 2009, when Jane Catlin retired from the club after 16 years. Dina brings with her 20 plus years expereince as a bookkeeper in the automotive industry. Dina's organizational skills are a great asset to the Bushwood team. Dina comments “It’s a terrific atmosphere, a lot of fun and there’s always something going on so it’s an exciting place to be part of.”
